We started the day with a hike in Valley of the Flowers. There was another group who looked like they were going out to explore the wilderness for a while, while our group was just doing a casual morning hike. After some introduction at the start, we split up, which gave me an opportunity to get a little exercise. I reached the end of a lake (see screenshot of the map below) and was considering going around to return on the other side, but I was not sure whether there was a path all the way back on that side. So I went back the way I came.

We had lunch back at the hotel. The hotel meals were generally good, albeit just a small buffet, especially for being in the middle of nowhere.

In the afternoon, we went iceberg viewing. Icebergs are more irregularly shaped than I expected. I might have guessed they break off in chunks and then get weathered or melted into some simple mostly convex shape, but they are actually fairly complicated.

In the evening, they showed us The Wedding of Palo. It is a Danish film with an all-Greenlandic cast of non-professional actors shot in 1933 in Tasiilaq and the area. While it is fiction, it gives some glimpse of life in Tasiilaq at the time.
